UNIT 10

UNIT 10 PLANNINGFOR EFFECTIVE USE OF ENGLISH IN THE CLASSROOM
Some ideas about this unit are: we should use the L1 in case of problems, because it is extremely dangerous to translate.
The children need to go changing activities because they are very small. For this reason the activities should not last more than 20 minutes and these activities should be to divided in other activities more small.
It is very important the intonation.  Also import the contact and the individuation.
Another thing that is important is to constantly repeat and pronunciation, and gestures are also very important.
Also we can teach symbols, for example to teach the silent.
The teacher can use his/her coursebook as a resource for the class.

Before the class the teacher have to plan his/her lesson.

UNIT 9

UNIT 9 STORY ACTIVITIES
The teacher can tell stories to children for that the children will practice at listening, speaking, reading and writing. The stories stimulate their imagination and creativity.
The first point of the unit is “Things to do after retelling a story”. The teacher can change some phrases or words that these will be similar of the story, these words or phrases that we can introduce are vocabulary that we interest it.
It is very important the intonation that we will use.
After the story the children can do activities related with it.
The second point is “Getting children to add to a story”.
Also the children can invent the story to match phrases.  
The third point is called “Making up a story”. For example we can make a story with topics, materials…it is depended that the objective that we will want to get.
The next point is “Using stories for a project work”. Through a story we can do a class project and children to work in groups.
The last point is called “Correction and project work”. This project should be well organized, tidy…

UNIT 5

UNIT 5 SPEAKING MORE FREELY
This unit tries to look at how the teacher can help to the children to continue speaking the L2 for a long time.
The first point is called “Cognitive development and language learning”.
If you can help to children, you can use some words in the mother tongue. So the children will understand things better.
It is very important the repetition, the pronunciation and the intonation.
The second point is “Starting to speak freely-eliciting personal talk”
At first the children speak about themselves, because they like speaking about their likes, hobbies, sports, families…
The context in the interaction when the children will speak in class should be clear and simple.
The questions should be easier and the answers should be shorts.
The third point is “Speaking games”. In this point the teacher should encourage to the children when they are playing so while they are speaking English. As well they will speak English in a more natural way.
In the games we can use music, because it is more enjoyable to the children.
The last point is called “Children speaking in groups”. We have to support to the children to speak more in English and they lose the shame to speak in front of peers. The context of public speaking should be quiet and formidable.
The children can speak in pairs because it is more useful for them.

UNIT 4

UNIT 4 SPEAKING WHIT SUPPORT
This unit is about that the children know better the things and the language for this the children learn better and they are more aware of what they do and what they learn.
The first point is “Using classroom phrases”. The teacher asks questions to the children about things that they need to know.
The teacher uses much the repetition.
The second point is “Saying rhymes and singing songs to practice pronunciation, stress, and intonation.
Saying rhymes and singing is very good to the children and for this the teacher uses it many times. The pupils enjoy a lot when they are singing and dancing, the teacher takes this situation to teach new knowledge and new ways of expression.
With the songs the teacher can introduce all the knowledges that he/she wants.
The third point is “Practising new vocabulary”. To know new vocabulary the teacher uses the repetition that the children repeat spontaneously. In this way the children learn in an easier and better way. Also the children improve their pronunciation. The teacher also can use flashcards to know the new vocabulary; this way is more representative to the children.
The teacher should know the new vocabulary in a context. It is important that the teacher use short phrases and he/she never translate the story to L1.
The next point is “Playing vocabulary games´´. This point is about guessing games and memory games that these games are useful to help the children become familiar with new vocabulary in an enjoyable way.
Become to play the game the teacher should teach the vocabulary of the materials. Also he/she shows flashcards to the children.
The instructions of the game should be clear and concise.  
The point five is called “Practising pronunciation of new sounds”.

The children will acquire better pronunciation and intonation when they listen to the teacher and when they repeat with him/her. 

UNIT 3

UNIT 3 LISTEN AND MAKE
This unit is related with the last unit, in this unit the children have to do somethings.
Thanks to make activities we work the cooperation between the pupils.
It is as to put in practice the knowledge that the children learnt before.
The first point is “Listen and colour”, in this point the children colour a picture for example a clown and the children give instructions to colour the clown and he/she encourages to the pupils and also he/she do questions about the picture.
The next point is “Listen and draw”. In this point the children have to draw follow several instructions. These instructions should be clear and concise and with repetitions. Also we can use phases describing position for the draw. For example on the left, at the back….
The next point is “Listen and make”. It is about how to do for example cards, draws, pets…
The teacher gives instructions for this and he/she should offer need to the children for example to use the scissors.

Before we have to prepare the material for the activity and we show it to the children.


Whit this routine will see time in a visual and fun way.

UNIT 2

UNIT 2 LISTEN AND DO
The unit 2 is called “Listen and do”. It is about to listen things for then do it.
In this unit appears a paragraph called “Giving instructions in English”, it is about as prepare activities for the children and as at first the teacher must use many gestures to help children understand the instructions well.
The second point is called “Listening and identifying”, this point is used for example to identify objects.
An audio that we listened was about the personal possessions, this is used for express the possessions of the objects.  
The third point is very important because is about the Total Physical Response, this method is important and it used to learn English the children in a way more easy. This method use much time the repetition.
In this unit we have seen many audios very important to learn English as “Follow the leader´´, in this audio the children enjoy much.
Also there is an audio about TPR.
Other audios are about things to do in the routines.
The next point is called “Listening are perfoming-miming” for see this issue we saw an audio for understand better it. This point is important because the children use the mime when they learn that action in English.
Thought the mime the children represent objects with actions, this is a very good way to learn the language.
The next point is called “Listening and responding games”, it is about games about right or wrong. If depend is wrong or right the children should give one or two claps for example.

A important game to the children is “Simon says”. It is important because the children participate very much and they enjoy it.

                                             

With these flashcards the children will learn visually and they will learn the phonetics of vowels and consonants with picture about objects known them.

UNIT 1

UNIT 1 TEACHING YOUNG LEARNERS
In the Unit 1 we have seen from very small children begin to learn to speak English. It is very important the repetition.
Also appeared some tips about to learn English, because it is a new language to the children.
Then it appears as a class should start.
To start a class we will do with the routines, where greetings are included. Also is included some ways to start the lesson as for example: play a game…
Also there are instructions to organize the classroom. For example: get your pencils and books out, move the tables back…




Whenever the teacher wearing the icon children must speak English. I did this icon because it's fun and appealing for children because it is a pet.
